National Alumni Board Director Duties
Please review the description and duties of an NAB Director and answer the following questions to confirm the nominee's willingness to engage fully in the role, if selected.
The NAB is a
working board
composed of alumni who contribute their time, energy, and expertise to advance the University’s mission through active participation in meetings, committees, and events.
The ideal NAB Director is an alumnus (undergraduate or post-graduate) who serves as a
connector
within the alumni community and actively engages in university events and fundraising.
An NAB Director is expected to:
Attend and contribute meaningfully
to at least two (ideally three) in-person NAB meetings each term year. (In extenuating circumstances, a Zoom option is available)
Participate
actively in meetings and activities of all committees of which they are a member, including semi-regular correspondence and remote committee meetings to advance the Board's mission.
Attend
the NAB annual retreat in person, typically held in conjunction with the first meeting of the term year.
Support
major university events such as Alumni and Family Weekend and Groundhog by
attending
and
performing
volunteer duties (board meetings typically are scheduled in conjunction with these events).
Demonstrate
support for the University of Dallas through an annual financial contribution, as able.
Serve as an active, contributing member
of at least one standing committee of the NAB — Alumni Nominations and Recognition, Careers and Scholarships, Alumni Engagement and Events, or Class Agents and Regional Representatives —
taking ownership of tasks, collaborating between meetings, and helping drive measurable progress
toward committee goals.
Engage
fully in the broader University of Dallas community and
encourage
other alumni to become involved.
Please provide examples of the nominee's engagement with the University of Dallas since graduation*
